First Real Estate Investment Trust of New Jersey, Inc. (FREIT Maryland) is an equity real estate investment trust that takes pride in its investment portfolio. Investments include multi-family properties, retail centers, office buildings, and mixed-use developments in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions of the US.
FREIT Maryland conducts its operations in compliance with the requirements for qualifying as a real estate investment trust pursuant to the Federal Internal Revenue Code. As a result, it receives favorable tax treatment as provided under the tax code.

Robert S. Hekemian, PRESIDENT AND CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Robert Hekemian was elected CEO in 2018, and has served as Trustee since 2007. Mr. Hekemian has been involved in real estate activities for over 30 years and has served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Hekemian and Co. since 2004. From 1983 to 2003, Mr. Hekemian also serves on the Board of Directors of the Oritani Savings Bank and the New York Philharmonic and formerly served on the Board of Directors of the Bergen Community College Foundation. He is a member of the Board of Governors at Hackensack University Medical Center and Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine at Seton Hall University, and is Trustee of the Hackensack University Medical Center Foundation.

Ronald J. Artinian, CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD AND TRUSTEE
Ronald Artinian began his service as Chairman in 2018, and has served as a Trustee since 1992. Mr. Artinian worked in the financial services industry for 26 years, including with Smith Barney, Inc. from 1989 to 1998, where Mr. Artinian held positions as an Executive Vice President, Managing Director and National Sales Manager. Mr. Artinian retired from Smith Barney in January 1998 in order to pursue other business interests as a private investor. Mr. Artinian joined the board of The Reserve, a money market fund, in 2007.

Allan Tubin, TREASURER AND CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
Allan Tubin was appointed to the FREIT Board in February, 2019. He has been the Chief Financial Officer, responsible for all aspects corporate and project finance for Hekemian & Co., Inc. since 1996. Prior to joining Hekemian, Mr. Tubin was the Chief Financial Officer for the international real estate activities of Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, Inc. (DLJ) as well as CPA with Ernst & Young. Allan is a key member of the Hekemian & Co. Acquisitions and Development Due Diligence Team, responsible for financial forecasting and modeling.

John A. Aiello, Esq., EXECUTIVE SECRETARY AND TRUSTEE
John A. Aiello, Executive Secretary of First Real Estate Investment Trust of New Jersey since 2002, is a shareholder and officer of Giordano, Halleran & Ciesla, P.C. a New Jersey based law firm. Mr. Aiello is Chair of the firm's Corporate and Securities Department, concentrating his practice on corporate and securities matters for over thirty years. He is licensed to practice in New Jersey and New York and has been selected for inclusion in Best Lawyers in America for over twenty years in the field of mergers and acquisitions.

Richard B. Aslanian, TRUSTEE
Richard J. Aslanian began his service as a Trustee to FREIT in 2018. He is the Co-Founder of Welcome Home Brands, LLC, established in 2010, a distributor of imported paper and plastic bakeware products to the hospitality industry. From 2007 to 2009 Mr. Aslanian was the CEO of Blue Ram Capital Management, LLC, which managed an investment partnership of public equities in developed markets. In 2006, Mr. Aslanian retired from Goldman Sachs & Co. as a Managing Director after having been with the firm since 1991. From 1985 to 1991 Mr. Aslanian was an attorney at the law firm of Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP, specializing in corporate and tax matters and public and private mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Aslanian established the Richard J. Aslanian Scholarship Fund, an endowed scholarship, at the University of Pennsylvania, and has served on the boards of several charitable organizations, including the Partnership for Inner-City Education, the Harrison Educational Foundation and the Armenian Church Endowment Fund.

Alan L. Aufzien, TRUSTEE
Alan Aufzien has served as a Trustee since 1992. He is also a member of the Audit and Compensation committees. Since 1986, Mr. Aufzien has been Chairman and Managing Partner of the Norall Organization, an investment company. From 1980 to 1998, Mr. Aufzien was a partner in the Meadowlands Basketball Association, t/a New Jersey Nets (Member of the National Basketball Association), and was its Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, and then its Secretary and Treasurer, as well as a member of its Board of Directors. Since 1986, Mr. Aufzien has also been the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of New York Harbour Associates, a real estate developer.

As Director of Commercial Sales and Leasing for Hekemian & Co., Inc, he is responsible for lease analysis, accounting review, new tenant marketing potential, and possible center re-positioning. Mr. Hekemian is a member of the Executive Committee and the Acquisitions and Development Due Diligence Teams. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance degree from Boston College.

David McBride was elected as trustee in 2007. Mr. McBride brings with him over 30 years of diversified real estate experience to the Board. He is also Chairman of the Compensation Committee. Since 2006 he has been the Chairman of the Board of the Saddle River Valley Bank, a federally chartered community bank, since 2001 a Partner in the law firm of Harwood Lloyd, LLC, specializing in real estate matters, and since 1987 the Chief Executive Officer of McBride Enterprises, Inc., a family owned real estate company. Mr. McBride was also instrumental in forming the Keystone Property Trust (NYSE) in 1998 and served as its Chairman of the Board until its sale to ProLogis in 2004. Since 1998, he has also served as the Chairman and President of the Mountain Club, t/a High Mountain Golf Club.

Justin Meng, TRUSTEE
Justin F. Meng was appointed as a member of the Board of Trustees in February, 2016. Mr. Meng is a Managing Partner at V3 Capital Management L.P., an investment firm that he co-founded in 2011, which is focused on publicly traded real estate securities. Previously, he was Partner and Head of REIT Research for High Rise Capital Management, L.P., where he worked from 2005-2011. From 2002 to 2005, Mr. Meng served as an Associate at J.P. Morgan Asset Management in the Real Estate Investment Group, where he worked both in the acquisitions and asset management departments. From 2000 to 2002, he served as an Analyst at J.P. Morgan Asset Management in their Fixed Income Group. Mr. Meng is a CFA charter holder.
